Geezzz... I was supposed to be sleeping by now! Am catching a flight to Guilin-China at 6am later! And need to be at the airport at 4am! Which means my alarm will be ringing at 3am!!! WAT...??? That's the time when I'll be heading to bed usually! Mum has been nagging me about sleeping late for the past few days, and now my biological clock seems to be ready to sleep at only earliest 1 or 2 am everyday. And I'm all excited for the trip! How to sleep...???

Luggage are all packed - am gonna wear the same clothes for 2days each! Don't think I'll stink coz the weather are expected to be cold! Spring time with showers, highest temperature at 10'C and lowest at 4'C. Thank God I borrowed a long john.. and a VERY colorful raincoat!!!

So ciao~ adios~ sayonara~ tata!!!

This blog is the first to be written and published in my house! Finally got a fixed line at home, took me more than 1 week as promised by the staff, they actually made me waited for 3 weeks!!! Thanks to ET for installing everything, and for saving me RM80 for installation.

The most recent 'happening' thing should be CNY - but it isn't that happening, happy nor merry this year. Kind of bored staying at home accompanied by sunny weather. And the worst thing about CNY is that I did not go back to Penang this year! Gosh.. talking about Penang during CNY! There are so many Hokkien family there at Penang & Butterworth, the offerings they made to 'thi kong' is 3 levels higher than those made in Klang! It's definitely merrier to celebrate CNY there.

Spent a few boring days at Klang, then visited Robin at J.B for 3 days. He's got really fun 'brader' to hang aorund with. Glad to know few more friends that are alike him. Believe me, he's still the Robin-est person I know!

Talking about CNY, I did not get a new hair cut, new dress, new shoe, new bag etc. Those money I saved, is enough for a new hair style - and so I did, but not only when CNY is over, and when the price is back to normal. I wanted to perm my hair since my hair is straightened for almost 2 years already.

The hair stylist Nico asked me "What type of perm do you want? Digital? Spa? Normal?".

I said "I don't know... erm... uhm...".

She continuted "Big wave or small wave?".

I answered "...anything as long as it can tahan 1 year".

Wow.. that's a real precise answer to start with.

After washing n stuff, she asked "How about your front hair? Want to keep it long or short?".

I said "Anything lah.. I believe you know what's best for me".

She smiled and asked "Would you like a fringe?"

I answered "But other hair stylist said that my forehead is too low, not nice for a fringe."

She replied "Nolah.. I can kautim for you. You'll look cute with a fringe."

Me looking confused and with doubt asking "Sure or not? As long as it don't make me look silly then ok lah."

There she goes doing her thing. I did not know what perm that she is going to do, and how she intend to do my fringe. All I know is that it took me 5 hours and i was starving during the 5 hours hair do!!! In the end, after perming my hair, she straightened my front hair! After she's done... I was like... OMG!!! I'm so "rainie"!!!!!!!! I look like those Taiwan lala mui!!!! H*ly cow!!!

Below is a photo of Rainie Yang Chen Ling - Taiwanese singer

This is how my hair looks like now. With smaller wave though. And of course I don't look cute and beautiful like Rainie.. I just happened to be her 'accidental fan' by having exactly the same hairstyle!!! That's why there are no picture of me posted here!

It was already to late to 'undo' everything. But I'm fortunate to keep my hair that is as black as ebony. If I dye my hair, I'll be Rain-ier than ever!

Luckily the majority response I got for my new hairstyle has nothing to do with being Rainie's fan. Most of the people said I looked younger & cuter! Aisheh.... some friends arrived at my house doorstep but didn't recognize me when I signal them to come in - they then explained that they thought it's my niece waving at them. Hmmm... from 26 to 16???!!! *winkie winkie*

Old Tin Ha yong tau fu - CHECKED!!! (twice)

Petaling Street Sei Ngan Chai roast duck - CHECKED!!!

Petaling Street beef noodle - CHECKED!!!

Am looking forward for dinner at Wangsa Maju!!! Few more days here at Setapak.. Haihhh... Don't feel like leaving yet.. So many friends that I want to catch up with before I leave.. Although KL and Klang is not that far, but it seems like people are always too busy to meet up when they started to work.. Sobzzz...

And not forgetting... the movie IP MAN rocks!!! A must see movie for 2008/09!!!

Suddenly admire Donnie Yen so much!!!

This is not my type of movie, but I'm so so so sooooo glad that the gang recommend me to see it. This movie is just great! Not the typical stunt movie. Donnie Yen is a wushu guru himself! Actions are nothing but real fights! Cool eh??? Go to the cinema, see it, then only agree with me!!! I bet you will!!! Hahaha...

Gosh.. look at him and his deadly fist!!! Wow.. If he wasn't that old, I might have already stick his posters on all the 4 walls in my room!!! He's got style of his own.. yum yum~

--> pics like this maybe???
handsome... waahahahaa!!!

Gonna say goodbye to Setapak in few days time. Was hoping that I could stay longer. I need more time with my dear friends.. Wana drink, sing, dance, joke.. and maybe cry with them??? And I'm sure gonna miss a few food here in Jalan Genting Kelang.

Talking about food, I'll be eating whatever I want from now onwards. Since I won't be coming back here just for the food - too far already. So will take the opportunity to take 1 last try of my favourite food before I go back Klang!

Am going to have Old Tin Ha superlicious yong tau foo every evening from tomorrow till the day I leave Setapak! The fu chok, brinjals and ladies finger.. so heavenly made.. Wanna eat everyday until I feel jelak and scared of it (so that I won't be missing it when I get my ass back to Klang).

And of course to eat Sunshine Malay aunty bee hun. Just thinking about the fried chicken and ayam rendang is making me hungry already.

And Wangsa Maju corner shop's economy rice! Lurve the so called "chinese prawn tempura".

Maybe could go all the way to Petaling Street for the roast duck and beef noodles again! The remaining robbers better wish that they don't bump into us! Haha...

Guys, when deciding where to have our meal, please do consider the above ok? I'm left with not much time here at Setapak. Keke..

OMG.. Syok syok talking about food. Final exam is tomorrow!!! Study.. study... ussshhhh!!!!

When all is said and done.

When assignments has been completed, passed up and presented.

When we get lectured for all the scolding we seem to deserve.

Here I am thinking what I should do next.

It’s too early to compile notes for exam! Gosh.. I'm gonna lose my patience while compiling. So lost for not attending lecture classes this sem!!!

And it’s definitely too late regretting for being so lazy!
(but wait.. I did not regret that! In fact, I’m glad! Sue Ann said that me becoming a ponteng kaki is an act of maturity.. Well Ann, I don’t think that’s the case for me, I’m just being plain lazy. Haha!)

Since there’s nothing else to do, I guess I’ll see more movies!!!

Have been seeing lots of movies recently. Mostly English comedy. And I’ve noticed that alcohol isn’t that bad until people in movies started to use alcohol as an excuse for their 'bad behavior'.

There are many typical movie scene that I get so bored of seeing, and one that I would like to critique the most is when people drink, got drunk, and God knows what the hell they do after that, and they’ll wake up on a bed completely naked, beside someone, or usually a complete stranger whom they remember dancing with yesterday night in a pub!!! This typical scene repeated itself in movies such as Knocked Up, 27 Dresses and What Happens in Vegas!!! Geezzz.. don't you just get bored?!! The influence of liquor never been that bad until they releases this type of movies.

And I’ve learnt that in Hong Kong movies, is that people are blind! Yes they are! Especially when crossing the roads!!! I don’t understand why the writers love to have their characters die/get injured when crossing the road!!! Can’t they have people throwing vase and the character so happened to be down there, and got their head hit by the vase and die?!!

In romantic movies, this is also one of the favorite scenes!!! But they added a romance element into it by editing the character being saved by someone. Don’t tell me you don’t remember those scenes whereby the heroin deeply in thought while crossing the road, and did not notice the car is heading towards her, and suddenly a hero jump out from nowhere and caught the heroin by his arms.. And they sort of spin round and round (in slow motion) while looking at each other - eye to eye. Geeezzz… I just laugh out loud whenever I see these scenes!!!

And they tried to edit a heroic scene that sacrifice themselves by saving that victim-to-be by pushing him/her away and they themselves got hit instead. Why do they have to stand there in the middle of the road and wait to be hit after pushing that person out of the way? Can't people just rush to the person that they want to save, and pull them together while avoiding the incoming vehicle??? Maybe I wasn't aware of the new rule - to save someone, another person must die (???)

Okay.. enough of criticism. More movies for me. Seen The Happening and 7 Pounds yesterday. Don’t really like it. My view - too scary and too boring respectively. Enjoyed the graphic for Speed Racer. And am dancing along with Mamma Mia soundtrack now! The movie is superb! Just great! Love musical! Hairspray is another favourite of mine!!! Horray!

Am waiting for 21 movie. The preview looked impressive, hope the whole movie didn’t disappoint me. Downloading 70% in progress. Remember that using Torrent to download is legal, but to download copyrighted movies is illegal. Hahaha!!!

This year's Christmas was fun!

We did not repeat the same mistake we did last year - Going out to some *happening* place and find ourselves middle of somewhere like Sungei Wang that is packed with people, ended up doing nothing but sweating profusely and waiting like an idiot just to see fireworks, and when it's time to see fireworks, we could not open our eyes at all because everyone around us are spraying the so called 'snow' from a RM10 bottle! And when it's time to go back from the chaos, we need to squeeze in a practically sandwiched monorail/LRT and get our butt ber-geseran with other people who finds it exciting to have their butt rubbed against someone's butt!!!

This year, we decided to stayed at home, far away from those Christmas fanatic. We went over to Hon's house to play some dice, listen to Christmas songs, and the aim for that night is to get totally wasted (which some of us did). The game we played is called "tai wa sek" (in Cantonese). The game is real simple, and even easier to get people drunk!

Dice and Chivas.. just the tool to get us started! Yeah baby yeah!

You can have it plain, or to mix it with white (sprite) or black (pepsi)

Lai lai lai~ yaaaammmm.. seeeennnggggg!!!!

Without any further ado, I would like to announce the winners on the 'Who Got Wasted' title.

Easy and relax life is almost at its end.

A life full with commitment and responsibility starts soon.

These 3 years have been real fun. It's a huge step to take resigning from the working world, and to enter a world that I feel I don't belong. But in the end, it appears to be a wise step. I have no regrets at all. Getting to know friends that we can really hang out with, talk rubbish for hours at the mamak stall and still doesn't seemed like we had enough, I believe that the time spent here at Setapak is the most wonderful time ever.

Studies is studies, that 3 years for me is like.. whatever action I take, it is for me only to bear. I will not drag anyone into my problem, or to affect anybody with the consequences of any action I take. If I'm playful, bad results is for me to bear. If I spend money like nobody business, I would have to find a few more part time jobs. In the end, it's all about me.

Now.. I would have to plan every step that I'm bound to take. It feels like, if I took the wrong step, the consequences would be too much for me to bear. So do I really want to take this step? Going to UK is something I want, but is it something I really need? Guess this questions have been running around the minds of many more classmates who will be graduating soon.

But I've decided. Want to know if I'm going to UK? Look out for me at the airport. If you don't see me, then it's a goodbye.

To classmates who have decided to work/ further studies, I hope this quote may inspire you, or maybe motivate you a little bit, I know I am.

Making a true decision means committing to achieving a result,
and then cutting yourself off from any other possibility.
by Anthony Robbins from Awaken the Giant Within

Well, blog post ends here. Am already rushing like mad for assignments and thesis. Am so so so glad this is the last semester!!! But it crushes me whenever I think about leaving people here. I really tak sampai hati leaving you all.. *Yes, you! Of course you la! I'll definitely be missin' you!!! *

As the clock strikes 2.10am, here I am in the midst of struggling to complete my web blog assignment. Being such a big fan of FOOD, I decided to create a web blog based on the theme ‘Cari-cari makan with Joyce’. The inspiration for choosing this theme definitely comes from KY! Well, I don’t know him personally, but the way he blogs about food always makes me drool!

Since I’m referring a lot to his blog for my assignment, I constantly read his blog post and am very attracted to all the pictures of food taken. It all looked so tempting!!! I couldn’t just look at it and just imagine how delicious it tastes right?!!! So I came up with a new resolution for 2009 – to earn a lot a lot a lot of money and dine at KY's recommended outlets – ALL OF THEM! Can’t wait to try the steaks, grilled shrimps, scallops etc.. so many of them! When can I finish trying all the food in his blog?! I haven’t even start to try any!!! I better buy along a weighing scale to guide my through the new 2009 resolution (if I’m lucky enough).

At the meantime, I guess I should share his blog with friends who can afford to dine at such places, a car to travel to various place (some very ulu in remote area), and one that have great passion for food! Few suitable candidates such as Bernard & Teck Sheng shall be contacted to further discuss this weekend trip to cari-cari makan with Joyce! Haha…

This web blog assignment really sucks! It’s week 9 now, and I only attended 2 lectures. I don’t know what the hell is Adobe Dreamweaver and I definitely have no idea how to design a web blog with it! Damn…

I spent the last Saturday at Putrajaya with a couple of very impulsive friends! Bernard was actually suggesting that since I have such a nice camera to use, why not take pictures of really nice architecture in Putrajaya. Bernard talked about his admiration for the beautiful buildings at Putrajaya, especially at night when all the buildings and bridges are beautifully lit up. According to him, a lot of foreigners was awed by such high level of architecture in Malaysia, thus it’s nonsense for a Malaysian to claim never been to Putrajaya. Since it’s a place that I’ve never been to, so yea, why not!

We drove through Cyberjaya, passing by ex-PM Mahathir’s residence area, and slowly to Putrajaya. One thing to notice when we’re in Putrajaya is the many fancy designs of street lights! Different area has different design of streetlights.

Then we stopped at Dataran Putra in Putrajaya – and I’m so surprised with the cars parked there!!! The parking lot is full!!! Couldn’t believe that Putrajaya (deemed only as a place where most of the Government’s office is located), is actually a nice weekend place for many families to hang out. But to my dismay, we are the only Chinese there. Everywhere we see, it’s Malay people. They brought along their little ones, a “tikar” and some food for a picnic beside the small water fountain.

There we saw the PM’s Office – which is HUGE!!! Couldn’t believe that they actually need such a space to work!!! But besides functioning as an office, it is also a display of some Islamic architectural elements – totally cool??!!!

PM's office at Perdana Putra

After having some lousy Malay kuih and drinks at Putrajaya Walk, Alicia and I persuaded Bernard and Chew to join us for the 45 minutes river cruise through Putrajaya man-made lake. It was the first time for me and Alicia, while Bernard has been on the cruise for numerous times. Luckily we 2 ladies managed to persuade Bernard and Chew to join us, and I believed the 2 guys did not regret spending RM30 for their own ticket! Haha! Night view of the buildings and bridges are really fabulous!!! I was speechless.. the scenery is just spectacular.. I took many breathtaking pictures there.. Have a look!

A very Islamic type of arch

An interesting way to take pic - reflection on the glass table!

*peace* Bernard is still thrilled after his numerous visits to Putrajaya :P

The main mosque in Putrajaya - Putra Mosque

Istana Darul Ehsan - a weekend palace for Sultan of Selangor

Monorail Suspension Bridge -
still not fully developed yet - will look like San Francisco's Golden Gate once completed

Seri Saujana Bridge - resembles Sydney Harbour Bridge

Night view of Seri Saujana Bridge fully lit up! Wonderful!

Seri Wawasan Bridge look fabulous at night!!! Very different from the one I took during evening!

Behind us is the Putrajaya Convention Centre

One should really appreciate Putrajaya.. this beautifully designed township.. Malaysia BOLEH!!!
