Am feeling unwell and a little bit "off" today..

Trying to blog about something C.O.L.O.R.F.U.L to spice up my day..

I have been to amante nail spa & body care in several occasions for massages and herbal boil massage. They provided me relaxing massages sessions that just made me fall asleep (AND IRONICALLY MISSED ENJOYING THE MASSAGE!?!!)

Amante too provide nail spa, so on Saturday I decided to try their manicure and pedicure. The package of RM78 includes nail color, and I was too confused to decide on which color to suit me as I'm so excited by the whole nail colors selection displayed on the shelf!

The manicure and pedicure session wasn't like what people say "just relax and let them do the work". It was a painful ordeal for me coz they tried to treat my toe nail problem. But even the expert did not manage to cut off the nails from poking the side of my toe. Guess I need to perform the operation myself..

The whole session which was supposed to be completed within 1 hour & 30 minutes ended up a long boring 2 hours & 15 minutes session!

But in the end, it was all worth it. With pretty shinning nails now... :)

Sis SMS-ed me today. I guess my FB post somehow hinted her that there is something wrong with me.

None of my family member ever really cared or worried about me, assuming that I'm independent and are always fine by myself. And they should think that way, coz I've always share with them my little achievement in life, showed them that I'm fine, happy, smiling and cheerful.

I do stumble and fall in life, but without them knowing. I get myself back up, and continue smiling. So yeah.. Joyce is fine.

This time, I don't know what triggered my sister to message me. And her SMS made my heart feels weird, the SMS was touching, but it meant more to me, it made my heart melt, I almost choke on my noodles, and I went teary immediately.

My siblings may love me alot, but they have no time to care about me, just too busy with their life. This SMS is one of the first I have received. So it was touching for me to know that my sis cared.

I guess aside from feeling touched, what made me cry is to know that they actually realized they have neglected their little sister!!! They know I was, and still am all alone without support and advice from my elder brothers and sister!!!

... I think for their little sister who practically grew up alone, I'm doing pretty fine. At least I did not end up as a drug addict or a complete failure.

So... I'm good... and will always stay this way.

Thanks sis for your message although how simple it may be. You will never see this blog coz I do not want you to be worried about me. But I hope you know that your little sister loves u!!! HUGS...

This cry baby love these quotes!

Makes me feel less guilty to myself being such a hambao..

quote cry if you need and smile

quote cry shower sad

It is true that you activate that HAM BAO switch, there is no turning back!

Once a hambao, forever a hambao.

But I'm a strong cry baby!

Cry over it, but lift your head up high, and life goes on!   :)

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times, during those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for your mistakes, they will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you are tired and weary, because it means you have made a difference.

A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.

Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

It is already July, and I haven't got any holiday plans for this year! All I could do is to look back into the old holiday photos. It have been such good memories, and I hope the memory will always stay fresh in my mind if I blog about it.

So here it comes.. This is a very backdated post about my holiday in May 2011.

At that time, I was working with SP Setia for merely 8-months and it was indeed a shocking news that I will be joining 27 others for a study trip to Dubai, Cyprus and Athens.

Dubai, UAE

Dubai is one of the seven emirates (province) and the most popular city of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and one of the reason is their architectural innovation. It was an eye opening trip for me as I get to see all the remarkable buildings which have made their name in the world record.

Fun Facts:-

In 1979, Dubai World Trade Centre stands as the tallest building and the only skyscraper in Dubai. Now, Dubai has 527 completed highrises, 314 highrises currently under construction and 461 planned highrises.

I was surprised when our tour guide told us that less than 20% of the population are actually locals! There are alot of immigrants from Philipines, India, Pakistan etc who is filling up the country.

Dubai people are very proud of their national costumes, and working immigrants are expected to wear the costumes as well. All of them really confuses me as I can't distinguish between local people and immigrant.

Look at some fun facts about Dubai http://www.venere.com/blog/dubai-fun-facts/

Aside from experiencing the beauty of this hotel inside out, we also have once in a lifetime opportunity to dine in Al Junsui for our Afternoon Tea. We had a seven-course  afternoon tea menu respresented by culinary delights from Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Korea.

This afternoon tea cost AED 275 per person (equivalent to MYR 235). I will not have the chance to experience such a luxury afternoon tea if not because of SP Setia generousity to its staff.

Dubai Desert Safari

If you've been to Dubai, and have not tried the desert safari / dune bashing, then you've not been to Dubai!!!

A 4x4 wheel drive picked us up from our hotel (The Seaview Hotel - with no seaview), and the adventure starts!

The common vehicles used for dune bashing are larger sport utility vehicle such as Toyota Land cruiser. Other mini SUVs are not used cause they have higher risk of getting stucked. The vehicles are usually equipped with a roll cage to prevent the roof from caving in on passengers in the case of an overturn.

Dune bashing is not just driving on a desert, but experience and skill is required to maneuver the car and  to prevent accidents.

And it is not all fun, as some may experience dizziness, and vomiting. I did knock my head against the side glass when our car dives down from the desert cliff. But it was really a thrilling experience!

There are various packages to suit your interest, more info here http://www.desertsafaridubai.com/index.html

The package we signed up for includes camel ride - which I don't encourage cause it's just plan cruel to use animals for our fun, same as elephant ride, or kereta lembu.
