Setia Blockbuster 2012 on pixlr !!!

This is my THIRD Annual Dinner with SP Setia.

And undoubtedly it was an incredible one!

...just like previous years

The theme this year is Setia Blockbuster.

 And Setia Eco Park chose Star Wars as our Blockbuster character.

We were given Princess Leia's long shirt and was told to dress up like her.

Men were given a full Darth Vader attire, including the super cool mask!

Some of our big shots were given special costumes such as Darth Maul and Queen Amidala. 

Other Business Units uses costumes inspires from Phanton of Opera, Bollywood,

Zombies, Superman, Alice in Wonderland and many more famous movies!

We hold the Annual Dinner at our very own venue this year,

our Setia City Convention Hall! 

But due to the limited space, we did not get to bring any partner this year.

Took alot of cool photos from the event and decided to photo-blog again!

Am trying out new online photo editor on the photos.

pixlr.com offers alot of effects and frames.

I would recommend it as a good and user-friendly photo editor!

I did not do my own make up this year.

Trying out Ying Nail and Make Up House.

I feel that Ying did a great job on me.

Am happy with how I look.

Hairdo as usual, was done by Nico.

Showed her photo of Princess Leia and she did this for me.

The usual Princess Leia would have both the
side buns a little lower and closing the ears.
But that's kinda ugly and old-fashioned.
So Nico make a modern version of Princess Leia hair for me.
Tie two ponytail and do it into plaits before tie it round on both the sides.

Now tell me I do look like Princess Leia!

SP Setia Annual Dinner 2010 - Setia Oceanique Nite

The most fun Annual Dinner as I participated in Dance Competition that year.

We were on a hardcore training for a few months,

gave it all, but didn't win.

It's doesn't really matter, coz WE  HAD FUN!!! Wooooott!!!

Didn't know it was on YouTube till I blog about this now.

My very first date to Dinner & Dance - Mr. SJ Tan!
I brought him along knowing that he's gonna be thrilled to meet
all his ex-IOI colleagues who are now working at SP Setia.

You gotta admit that not many companies out there that is

looking after the welfare of their staffs.

SP Setia is generous not only in organizing such a 

huge event for us, spreading a good dinner, giving away lavish lucky draw prizes,

but also giving a half day off the next day in order for their staffs to enjoy the night thoroughly!

Am very proud to say that I'm associated with SP Setia.

Paintball champion for THREE consecutive years!

- was thinking if I should blog about this coz i'm freaking tired now
but a gold medal definitely deserved to be blogged about!!! 

Team Psyco did it again!

Yes "psycho" without the 'h' is to prove how Psycho they are!!!

(too psycho to recognize spelling!)

We emerge as defending champion for the third year now!!!

Our gold medals since 2010

Am just happy that I get to play together with the pro players..

.. and we really did KICK ASS!!! woot!!!

There are a total of 8 teams from different BU

who joined the SSRC Inter-Division Paintball Tournament 2012.

This time we played at Dome Paintball, Summit USJ instead of Padang ASTAKA, PJ.

Dome is an air-conditioned arena, but is smaller in size.

I prefer the Padang ASTAKA coz it is gonna make you run around under the hot sun 

which will eventually drain your energy - this is why we play sports right? :P

The battle was hard for me physically coz I made a very bad call.

Few days BEFORE the battle Barry did gua sa for me,

then I went for a 2 hours session of traditional massage at Amante.

Kept telling them "harder... yes harder!!!" (sound so wrong...)

Both gua sa and massage proved to be a bad timing!

Was asked again to join the Setia Eco Park guys for SSRC paintball tournament this year. 

The fun, the thrill and the pain, who can resist? 

Me!

Seeing the above photos is making me 'kan cheong' ady.. 

Let alone playing it on the field!

Stupid Nicky shot me twice last year on the side unprotected by the vest.

And after he shot me, he bragged about it for a little while.

Saying the shot was CLASSIC!!! (he's so dead I'm telling you)

And for my so-called revenge,

he has offered me to shoot him back twice WITH the vest on!

How unfair is that huh?!!!! 

With the coming weekends so occupied, 

I do not have the time to join the guys for the practice sessions!!!  

Arggghhh... am feeling so scared now. 

I wish I have more time to go for a few games before the tournament.

Which I obviously don't!!!!

Pain-ball

I was challenging myself when I agreed to join my colleagues for paintball tournament this year. I'm a member in SSRC (Setia Sports & Recreational Club) and joined my team from Setia Eco Park. These bunch of players are REALLY GOOD and to prove it, they gotten champion last year against many other strong headed team! ....and this year they asked me to joim them??!!!

So yeah I agreed to give it a try! Second time for me but I'm up to a few game of pain!

Played a total of 5 games, got shot a few times and YEAH WE HOLD THE CHAMPIONSHIP again this year!

I was in the same team as all the pro player and am just glad that I did not slow them down in any way.

Photoshooting @ Setia Eco Park

These are some of the photos taken for the 3 days of photo shooting. There are total of 200++ photos. But only manage to share some here. Am doing it for fun and as a favor for company's promotional material for Setia Eco Park, particularly Sunburst Plateau. It's something new for me, and I really enjoyed it! These are the raw files, have not been edited yet. So please bear with me.. :)


day 1 : Sunburst Plateau with Lim

Photo #1 : Sunburst plateau as a romantic place for couple to enjoy beautiful sunflowers and each others companionship.

Photo #2 - 5 : Trying to create an impression as if we're surrounded by thousands of sunflowers! And the truth is, WE ARE SURROUNDED BY 4,000 SUNFLOWERS! I really love these photos because of the vivid colors! How the sunflowers are beautifully contrast with the blue sky and green tall stalks. It looks like wedding photos to me. "Will you marry me Lim?". Haha!

day 2 : Summer Garden with Nelson

Photo #1 & 2 : Photos taken by a photographer on a 2 storey high crane. The talents are only used to compliment the park and sunburst plateau. One thing that really catches my eyes are the sunlight and dragonflies!



Photo #3 onwards : All these photos require us to face the sun. It is really hard to keep our eyes opened. But after looking at these photos and the sunlight reflecting on our face, it really is worth it having our face BBQ-ed after that. Hahaha~








Photo #10 - 14 : Feeding the ducks! These photos seriously doesn't look like it's taken locally. Look at photo #12 and you can actually see the ducks are coming one by one - like forming a line. It just takes my breath away just looking at the scenery and ducks!






Photos 15 - 17 : At the rose garden. I just wish that there are more roses. These roses look like it's almost dying. Alex said they look like lacking of nutrition, I could not agree more! Hahahaha!




day 3 : wildflower with Nelson

Photos #1 - 10 : The below are my favorite photos. When we first arrive there, it looks like an ordinary park for me. But how the photographer capture the photos from certain angle, makes the park looks like something else!











Photos #11- 13 : More food for the ducks! The white ducks are BIG BULLIES! They will dash to the food and chase the mandarin ducks away. They are just so garang! Those mandarin ducks (in brown) is much smaller then the white ones. Now I know why.. they could not get any food! Geram!!!




I was quite afraid that the chubby me would spoil the photos. Well, I did to. I looked FAT in some of the photos. But no complaints received so far about me ruining the photos. *phew*

My sharing stops here. Those who wonder where this place is, it is actually one of the park in Setia Eco-Park.
