Yee-haaaa!
A photo of the recent me to greet ya'all !!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tried Levain and lovin' it?
But after a few trips, thought it may be too far for a breakie?
Or even for a good tea?

You may be happy to hear that there's a nice bakery nearby
that truly resembles Levain in so many ways.

Yeah I called it "bakery", a term that everyone undestands.. unlike
the "Boulangerie & Pâtisserie" that always got my tongue twisted.

This place is called Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie and
it is located just at the corner of SS15 at Subang Jaya.

And it was Vince's brilliant idea to introduce me
to this place that may get me hooked!

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie
Shakespeare... a fine place of where bread and coffee comes together in an art.
Soweeyy.. came that out myself, was too carried away..

Walking around the bread and pastries area,
I can't help but thinking that I'm in Levain.

The food & beverages menu, especially the breads,
are almost 90% similar with what Levain is offering.

The cakes looks very tempting as it comes in
special shapes and sizes, and even colors!

They were practically begging me to eat em!!!!
I wish I've taken a few photos that time....

But since we went there for breakfast, we ordered something light.
Sorry cakes, I'll have you some other time! ;)

Vince had a good old Cappucino at RM6.50.
It was a decent cup of coffee with simple art, nothing fancy.

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie

With my usual liking for eggs, I ordered Scrabled Egg Crossaint (RM 8.80).
The soft and warm crossaint is stuffed
with scrambled eggs and a slice of chicken ham.
It comes with a side salad too.

It was pretty good - they are very generous with the scrambed eggs for sure!

This is one of the good scramble egg crossaint that I've tried,
and this includes ones at Pacific Coffee, which is my FAVOURITE!!!

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie

Vince wanted to have aglop-olio but the pasta selection
is only available 11am onwards. Since we're early,
only the breakfast selection is available (8am  10.45am).

So he had the Big Breakfast (RM 12.50).
It comes with toast bread, chicken ham, sausages,
grilled mushrooms, scrambled eggs and a side salad as well.

It's yummy, but nothing to shout about, really, coz I would prefer ones in
Marmalade Cafe @ Bangsar Village for their big breakfast.

Shakespeare Boulangerie & Pâtisserie

Overall, Shakespeare will be one of my top choices
when I have American cravings to fulfill..

Am glad to be introduced to this great place.

yummylicious!

And on the much talked about doomsday, I was at Penang
on the ominous date of 21.12.12.

To be frank, I'm imagining a massive tsunami
came sweeping away people in Penang, including me.

Thinking if there's anything I want to do before doomsday,
maybe there's things left undone, or unsaid to people I love?

Didn't do it. May sound stupid anyway.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aside from anticipating doomsday on 21.12.12,
it is actually a memorable day as we witness
two loving souls united by the bond of matrimony.

It's my couzie Jason and his darling Chyn's wedding, and
it's one of the best wedding I've ever assisted and attended.

As both the families are from Australia,
they booked 20 over rooms in Park Royal Penang and
everything took place there.

They have a beautiful garden wedding in the morning.

Cried when they exchange their wedding vows.
Choked by my own tears.

Congratz Mr and Mrs Jason Goh!

And the wedding reception at night was a blast!

For me, they are the first bride and groom who dance Jabbawockeez on the dance floor
with their bridesmaids and best-men. With some LMFAO and Gangnam Style.

Cried again when the bride's mother sang "A Song For My Daughter" with
her brothers filling up as band mates playing guitar, keyboard and drum.

It's all tears of joy. I'm all good. :)

When the dinner and dance ended, cousins and their partners
get ready for second round at 69 Mansion, Batu Feringhi.

I on the other hand, drove to another hotel to pick up Lexie from my brother,
and send her to Bayview Hotel for parents to doggy-sit her during my night-out.

I was practically still in the wedding gown when I arrived at 69 Mansion.
While the rest as dressed up cozy yet stylish for club.

We drink, laugh, make fool out of ourselves.

And the next thing I know, they starting throwing people in the pool !

Was not spared either.

And yes I'm soaked in my newly bought evening gown!

Fun? Kinda.
Great? Nahhhh...
Socked in the gown, feeling heavy and cold while walking
back to the hotel room, nope, not that great.

Nevertheless, it's always GREAT to hang out with my couzies.
Love them to bits!

And Christmas. I couldn't stop telling people
how much I love Christmas!

The soulful and cheerful songs that makes you tap your feet,
trees and decorations that brighten up the atmosphere
at home, in the mall, on the street,
shopping for ones you love,
season of loving and giving,
if I can love Christmas in Malaysia,
I'd go crazy celebrating it in western countries!

Dated Vince on Christmas Day for brunch
and last minute shopping for my Santarina costume.

I have been to this French-style bakery and cafe at Jalan Imbi for a few times and had just decided to blog about my most recent trip there with my gang. It was Kah Yee who intro this place to Vince, and he brought me there claiming he had the best mushroom soup at this bakery! :P

This place in fact is a very popular bakery among the KL people. And it is very hard to find a parking due to the limited parking area. You would be surprise to see alot of luxury and sport cars coming to this place for a meal!

This meal is almost a mission impossible for me because I have difficult time persuading my gang to go all the way to KL for a mushroom soup!!!

Myself with Teck Sheng & Alicia

Seafood Aglio-Olio RM12.50

Chicken Meatball Bolognaise RM11.90

Toasted Turkey Ham Cheese RM6.20
Croissant D'amando RM3.80
Tuna French RM3.60

Seafood Pizza RM6.00

Creamy Mushroom Chicken Soup RM5.40

Choco Crunch RM3.30
Seafood Pizza RM6.00
Custard Cream Donut RM2.80

Caffe Latte RM7.50
Cappucino RM6.90

There are a few comments that I got from them about this place...

Bernard says "The mushroom soup is like the one in DOME" (meaning nothing extraordinary because we can get it at DOME, do not have to come all the way to KL or as good as I claimed)

Teck Sheng says "I can make better spaghetti!!!" then continue telling me how laku is his spaghetti when he brought it to Kean Seng's place during New Year party. Hahaha!!!

Barry and Alicia is cincai as usual saying "Ok ah... okay lo...."

As for me, my all time favourite would be the thick and creamy mushroom soup with alot of fresh mushrooms in it! As for the buns, I would not miss the curry chicken donut. It is not in this blog because this bun is all sold out that day. But Barry managed to get one-to-go before we head to Pavilion.

So since my recommendation is not very satisfactory for my gang, I decided to belanja them lah... Paiseh to intro something which is not very cheap and yet they don't enjoy it. Haha!

Overall this cafe is a nice hang out place. Although the buns are not very cheap, but it is a place worth trying. I remembered last time people said poor people "ngai min bao", but now it seemed like only rich people can afford to eat min bao. :)
