Kenny Rogers Concert @ Genting Highland, Malaysia

Has it been two weeks since I last updated my blog?!!

Time really flies when we are occupied huh???

I've got my Chicago concert to blog about,

trip to Sekeping Serendah,

cari-cari makan adventure etc..

But let me start with my long pending update since 23rd Oct 2012.

Out of desperation to watch Kenny Rogers live in Malaysia,

I tuned into Lite FM from 8.30am till 7.00pm everyday

during their concert tickets give away!

Working with my earphone plugged the entire day

waiting for the cue call, gosh I do look silly!!!

I managed to be the first caller in one of the evening session,

but failed to guess the song played

- which was Crazy by Kenny Rogers.

I almost get myself CRAZIEEEE for not getting

it right despite calling for days!

In the end.. I still get to see Kenny Rogers.

Still a free ticket for me.

Thanks to Barry for the pre-birthday gift! 

It is definitely a memorable one!!! :)

Barry and I are oldies kaki and I'm glad to have someone

who doesn't think Kenny Rogers as just roasted chicken.. :P

We were highly anticipating the appearance of Kenny Rogers at the Arena of Stars..

But it definitely shocked us seeing him..

He looked really old..

With white hair like Colonel Sanders..

He's thinner compare to how his poster portrays him..

Looked frail..

Walking very slowly from one side to another..

Holding on to his chest when singing..

I thought he may have a heart attack anytime soon!

And appear to be too simple as a performer..

Wore a white blouse.. Unbotton sleeves.. Looked like he had just woke up from sleep..

Nevertheless, he's all out in that concert!

The songs are great.. his voice is marvellous.. he still HAS IT!!!

It's the audience instead that bores me..

None is sporting enough to sing along, jive around,

stand up etc when is being called to by the band..

Nevertheless, I was introduced to more of Kenny Rogers hit song such as

We've Got Tonight

Lucille

The Gambler

Coward of the County

and many more..

Oh ya... although he's old, and he looked old,

the truth is..

he is a father of 8-years old boy twins!!!

Ehhhmmmm!!!!

The concert ended after an hour (pretty short one huh)..

So we went for late night shopping.. chocolate hunting..

Cannot be compared to dip n dip @ Bangsar..

The big screens... (Ted Is Real-ly Taken 2 Hotel Transylvania!!!)

Harlow!!! Just got back from Genting.. Guess what!
I went to see Kenny Rogers at the Arena of Stars!!!

I've got plenty to blog about the past weeks, but too little time to do any of it!

Let's just talk about movies right now eh..

Taken 2

Watched Taken 2 like weeks ago (super outdated review I know) but just wanted to say that it's rather disappointing. I was hoping that it's gonna be a good second installment looking at how good Taken was. I watched it twice!

When Taken 2 was announced, we kinda laugh that maybe Taken 3 will be about his grandma or his pet dog gotten kidnapped.

Back to Taken 2, the ending really sucks. Despite what seemed to be a cat n mouse chase in the city, the villain who TALKED BIG about revenge in the beginning of the movie was actually hiding n cowardly gave up without a proper fight in the end?

What about Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) who managed to talk to his daughter Kim for a seemingly long conversation with all the guns pointed at him?

And the villain is kind enough to just hit Lenore (Bryan Mills ex-wife) unconscious instead of killing her in between the mayhem?

This movie is too kind on the hero. Hehe..



No one can mess with Liam Neeson! 



Hotel Transylvania (3D)

Just finished watching Hotel Transylvania in 3D this evening and OMG, mum enjoyed it! She was laughing giggling n all. 

Cartoon has always got the privilege to be a total nuisance but still appear funny.. thus audience are always amused and easier to be pleased.. that's just why I love cartoons!!! ;)

Urhhmmm..... No.....

More to like I corrupt my own blog.

Tried to organize Picasa Web Album,

moving some photos here and there,

deleted some dupplicated photos.

Not knowing it's the source for photos posted in my blogs.

When I'm done, went to view my blog.

Some photos missing.

Err.. no again.

Most of the photos are missing!

Some photos back in year 2008 and 2009!

So I guess this would take me hours to retrieve the original photos

and to get things back where it was again.

Frustrated.

Blaming on my itchy hand.

Will leave it the way it is now till I'm in the mood for some recovery action.

dip 'n dip @ Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar

My cravings for chocolate fondue has been on-going for days!

I really did consider going all the way up to Cameron just to visit Strawberry Moment.

Asked around for yummylicious fondue and most of my friends asked me to go back to Haagen Dazs 

coz that's the only place they know serving good fondue.. 

.. asked cousie Alex who then get me to look into eatdrinkkl.blogspot.

Found  dip 'n dip  there and ohhh.... my glorious chocolate fondue!!!!

It's located just at Bangsar, so I immediately set it in the GPS!

Super chocolate fan Vince agreed to join me in my little adventure into getting fat!

The 3 fountain behind me is the white, dark and sweet (milk) chocolate fountain!

The menu is heavenly and so I decided NOT to go for 

the dip sticks platter so that we could try out other tempting desserts displayed on the menu.. 

I chose dip sticks which comes in either 2 pcs, 4 pcs or 8 pcs in a stick.

I picked 2 strawberries and 2 marshmallows dip sticks, 

but they ran out of marshmallow and so they gave me 2 pcs complimentary strawberries. 

* extra points given!!!* ;)

For the dip sticks, you get to choose from the 3 different chocolates.

I picked dark chocolate for my strawberry dip sticks but they recommend the milk chocolate. 

After trying both, I still prefer my original pick of dark chocolate. *hehe*

One of their signature dessert is the mouthwatering crepe!

In all the selection of crepes, they recommended brownies crepe 

which is new in the menu but God... It was heavenly!!!!

The layered crepe has a layer of brownies in it.. and it enhance 

the taste of the crepe which is covered with all the three types of chocolate.

Now talk about gaining weight.. I think this is sufficient to get me back to 45kg!!!

Beautiful isn't it? Decorated with white, dark and sweet chocolate.. 

Look at the brownie in between the crepe layers.. 

Ready.. Get set... GO!!!! 

Next is their signature cold drinks called dip'n dip freezy! 

Their proclaimed it to be the richest chocolate drink ever!

....to be frank, it's nice, but not the RICHEST ever. 

When we are already struggling with our crepe and drinks, came the chocolate fondant!

The fondant is freshly baked using Belgian chocolate, and inside it is filled with dark chocolate!

It is served with a scoop of ice cream of your choice.

Oh how delicious it looked!

Here it comes!!!

We were both struck dumb by how full we are and there is just no way we could finish this!!! 

We are seriously in DEEP SHIT in dip 'n dip.. 

In dilemma of either to stuff ourselves with expensive desserts 

or give up the fondant to avoid vomiting out what is already in our tummy...

After looking at each other and knowing that our stomach have reached the max food limit,

me pandai2 asked to tapao the fondant,

Vince felt embarrassed and claim that it won't be nice nimore.

But HELLO.. it's expensive okaayy?!!!

Take away the fondant in this cute little box. 

Very interesting copywriting on the back of the box... :)

dip 'n dip is now my favourite dessert place and I'll definitely come back for more!

But not so often-lahh..

Their pricing is a little bit to the upper side.

4 pcs of strawberry dip sticks - RM 12.50

brownies crepe - RM 28.50

dip 'n dip freezy - RM 18.90

fondant - RM 13.50

Mum would kill me knowing that we had a RM85.14 desserts!!!

okay okay.. I admit I look silly but I'm just so obsessed with my spec!!! :P

oh yes indeed! we were both smiling from ear to ear!!!

A note to those interested to try out dip 'n dip : 

The menu is gonna seduce you to order everything you can! Just make sure you don't over ordered because these rich creamy yummy chocolates are really good stuff and indeed is very filling. So make sure to order moderately to avoid food wastage.

(I did finish my fondant as breakie the very next day.. still yummy!)

We left the outlet at around 9.30pm and yet there's still plenty of patrons.

I believe they close pretty late. From 10am - 10pm perhaps?

Shop till you drop!

I never learn!

Knowing that I overspent this month, I opted for uncontrollable shopping spree again!

Spend 5 hours at Sunway Pyramid with mum and ee poh.

Seemed like everything I put on today fitted on me nicely. Then mum n ee poh just kept asking me to "buy laahh... Buy laahhh...". So I guess we should listen to the elderly, and I couldn't find any reason not buying it! Muahahahaaa...

So what's in my shopping bag???

Me... Never get enough of shoes.

Bought 4 more pairs this time around. Had gotten myself 3 pairs last month. I really should get myself a proper shoe rack to keep track of the shoes I have! With ref n tagging n everything?

I've also bought 5 dresses, a shirt n 3 belts! All my belts are too loose for me n I got rid of em.

Spent wayyyy too muuuchhhh today.

This month really shop till I drop. Not drop dead, just drop fainted when I get my credit card statement...

Somebody pls get hold on my credit cards will ya...???
