Jeng Jeng Jeng!!!

Now that my hair color is "settled", I can finally post some photos about it!

It was still raining red and brown at the shower for the past week.
Scary huh....

So... I dyed my hair two weeks ago.

Wasn't keen to dye my hair right before CNY knowing that Nico is gonna
slaughter me with the new pricing.

But looking at my current hair, I really wanted some color on it to spice things up.
Was bored with my black hair.

Wanted to get my previous color - dark brown.

I've always tried to get colors that are not too bright as I have hair of Snow White.
Somewhat, black as ebony?

So in order not to have obvious color contrast between my colored hair and new grown hair,
darker color would be a wiser choice in order to blend in better.

Nico then said the most popular color this year is RED!
And that I should get it.

Showed me a few colors and chose the darker shade of red.
Nico agreed that it suit me coz it's not gonna look obvious when my hair grow longer.

So ON lah!

Waited for them to mix between two colors.

And...

The mixture turn out to look like this!
It almost scare me to death!

red hair mixture

Jaw dropped looking at the mixture.
They had to continuously convince me that this is not the actual color,
and the outcome is not as bright as this!

Was skeptical but they were very convincing...

As my hair black pigment is way too BLACK,
they had to leave the mixture on my head for an hour!

The entire time I was thinking
"Die lah die lah.. will it turn out bright red?"
"Will I look like Ah Lian (aka samseng jalanan pompuan), will I even get fired with this hair?!!"

Posted the mixture on FB and some said they are excited to see the outcome.

And hippo predicted that it will turn out like this!
YAY? or NAY?!!!

After washing, blowing dry, snip snipping here and there,
the outcome surprised me!

The color looks great!!!

Well, not as great as the red-head up there,
but I do like my color.
Thanks again Nico!

The above photo was taken on the actual day.
Went for dinner with parents at Tony Romas, Setia City Mall,
at the same time, flaunting my new hair color!

In fact, I've noticed that there are many red-head at the malls recently.
Friends and colleagues dyed their hair red too!
Male or female!

RED indeed is the color!

As for my little basketball head,
after one or two weeks,
after more washing,
the color changed.

With different photos taken of me,
sometimes it looks like burgundy,
sometimes purple,
sometimes brown,
and sometimes.... just plain black!

It made me desiring for something more RED now!

On top of my wish to eat and not get fat,
exercise and not build muscle,
play till down and not have panda eyes,

Can I have one more wish?

I would very much love to be ON FIRE with RED hair,
but don't want to get FIRED being unsuitable for the corporate world.

Can oorrrr noooottt?!!!

You can see how much I'm emphasizing on RED,

despite me being so hesitant on the adventurous new color
when it was first proposed by Nico.

See how fast a woman can change?!!!

I might even like to have a green hair tomorrow!!!

who knows...

NICE RIGHT???!!!!!!!

Talking about being on fire,
here's a nice song from Alicia Keys!
Love her songs, and this is one of it.

Setia Blockbuster 16 December 2012

This is my THIRD Annual Dinner with SP Setia.
And undoubtedly it was an incredible one!
...just like previous years

The theme this year is Setia Blockbuster.

And Setia Eco Park chose Star Wars as our Blockbuster character.
We were given Princess Leia's long shirt and was told to dress up like her.
Men were given a full Darth Vader attire, including the super cool mask!
Some of our big shots were given special costumes such as Darth Maul and Queen Amidala.

Other Business Units uses costumes inspires from Phanton of Opera, Bollywood,
Zombies, Superman, Alice in Wonderland and many more famous movies!

We hold the Annual Dinner at our very own venue this year,
our Setia City Convention Hall!

But due to the limited space, we did not get to bring any partner this year.

Took alot of cool photos from the event and decided to photo-blog again!

Am trying out new online photo editor on the photos.
pixlr.com offers alot of effects and frames.
I would recommend it as a good and user-friendly photo editor!

I did not do my own make up this year.
Trying out Ying Nail and Make Up House.

I feel that Ying did a great job on me.
Am happy with how I look.

Hairdo as usual, was done by Nico.
Showed her photo of Princess Leia and she did this for me.

The usual Princess Leia would have both the
side buns a little lower and closing the ears.
But that's kinda ugly and old-fashioned.
So Nico make a modern version of Princess Leia hair for me.
Tie two ponytail and do it into plaits before tie it round on both the sides.

Now tell me I do look like Princess Leia!
...prolly in her teens?

SP Setia Annual Dinner 2010 - Setia Oceanique Nite

The most fun Annual Dinner as I participated in Dance Competition that year.
We were on a hardcore training for a few months,
gave it all, but didn't win.
It's doesn't really matter, coz WE  HAD FUN!!! Wooooott!!!

Didn't know it was on YouTube till I blog about this now.

My very first date to Dinner & Dance - Mr. SJ Tan!
I brought him along knowing that he's gonna be thrilled to meet
all his ex-IOI colleagues who are now working at SP Setia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

You gotta admit that not many companies out there that is
looking after the welfare of their staffs.

SP Setia is generous not only in organizing such a
huge event for us, spreading a good dinner, giving away lavish lucky draw prizes,
but also giving a half day off the next day in order for their staffs to enjoy the night thoroughly!

Am very proud to say that I'm associated with SP Setia.

This blog is the first to be written and published in my house! Finally got a fixed line at home, took me more than 1 week as promised by the staff, they actually made me waited for 3 weeks!!! Thanks to ET for installing everything, and for saving me RM80 for installation.

The most recent 'happening' thing should be CNY - but it isn't that happening, happy nor merry this year. Kind of bored staying at home accompanied by sunny weather. And the worst thing about CNY is that I did not go back to Penang this year! Gosh.. talking about Penang during CNY! There are so many Hokkien family there at Penang & Butterworth, the offerings they made to 'thi kong' is 3 levels higher than those made in Klang! It's definitely merrier to celebrate CNY there.

Spent a few boring days at Klang, then visited Robin at J.B for 3 days. He's got really fun 'brader' to hang aorund with. Glad to know few more friends that are alike him. Believe me, he's still the Robin-est person I know!

Talking about CNY, I did not get a new hair cut, new dress, new shoe, new bag etc. Those money I saved, is enough for a new hair style - and so I did, but not only when CNY is over, and when the price is back to normal. I wanted to perm my hair since my hair is straightened for almost 2 years already.

The hair stylist Nico asked me "What type of perm do you want? Digital? Spa? Normal?".

I said "I don't know... erm... uhm...".

She continuted "Big wave or small wave?".

I answered "...anything as long as it can tahan 1 year".

Wow.. that's a real precise answer to start with.

After washing n stuff, she asked "How about your front hair? Want to keep it long or short?".

I said "Anything lah.. I believe you know what's best for me".

She smiled and asked "Would you like a fringe?"

I answered "But other hair stylist said that my forehead is too low, not nice for a fringe."

She replied "Nolah.. I can kautim for you. You'll look cute with a fringe."

Me looking confused and with doubt asking "Sure or not? As long as it don't make me look silly then ok lah."

There she goes doing her thing. I did not know what perm that she is going to do, and how she intend to do my fringe. All I know is that it took me 5 hours and i was starving during the 5 hours hair do!!! In the end, after perming my hair, she straightened my front hair! After she's done... I was like... OMG!!! I'm so "rainie"!!!!!!!! I look like those Taiwan lala mui!!!! H*ly cow!!!

Below is a photo of Rainie Yang Chen Ling - Taiwanese singer

This is how my hair looks like now. With smaller wave though. And of course I don't look cute and beautiful like Rainie.. I just happened to be her 'accidental fan' by having exactly the same hairstyle!!! That's why there are no picture of me posted here!

It was already to late to 'undo' everything. But I'm fortunate to keep my hair that is as black as ebony. If I dye my hair, I'll be Rain-ier than ever!

Luckily the majority response I got for my new hairstyle has nothing to do with being Rainie's fan. Most of the people said I looked younger & cuter! Aisheh.... some friends arrived at my house doorstep but didn't recognize me when I signal them to come in - they then explained that they thought it's my niece waving at them. Hmmm... from 26 to 16???!!! *winkie winkie*
