Am so sick with overloaded assignments. Rushing for one assignments after another. The weeks I had just to prepare for TLC pitching is already "No time to eat, no time no sleep, no time to bath, sometimes no time to pee". If I were to lead this type of lifestyle for another year, I'll end up with kidney problem, stomach ulcer, eating disorder, and look like an underweight panda! More and more deadlines coming, but I'm just so bored with assignments!!!

Usually when I'm stressed, I would play with my hamsters. They are the ones keeping me smiling. Too bad mak-ee don't understand that, forcing me to give away all my hamsters. Saying they they caused my skin allergies. Those who never get to know my lovely, bubbly, playful, chubby hamsters.. these are their profiles:-

Name : Sor Zai..

From : Penang pasar pagi

Details :

He was the tame one. I got the most incredible feeling with him when he fall asleep in my palms! He slept so peacefully when I cover him with both my hands.

How it ends :

Died few weeks later. Fei Poh bullied him. He has got dried blood over his coat of fur near his buttocks. Guess he lost the battle. I burried him nearby where I stayed.

Name : Fei Poh

From : Penang pasar pagi

Details : Fei Poh is the one who stayed the longest with me. I love her as if she's my baby! I cuddle her like a baby.. I know she's irritated.. but I just love to hold her and let her walk on my hands.

Characteristics :

Greedy pig! Loves to stuff alot of kua chi in her mouth! At least 30 kua chi.. fuiyooo...

Master of escaping from all type of cages

Stunt master. "monkey bar" and "spider man" - She can hang herself upside down and also side ways. She escaped from the cage and dropped from my 6th floor apartment. She was found at G Floor drain - all wet but not even a scratch or broken bones.

How it ended : 2 years later, she escaped when I was at Klang - Fei Poh not seen since then.

Name : Mini Me

From : Bought by Robin and Jia as my birthday present.

Characteristic : Skinny one.. and always chased by Fei Poh (she had a crush on him). He tame but sometimes still shiver whenever I hold him.

How it ends: I didn't get to spend much time with Mini Me because he escaped from the cage few months later.

Name : Zai Zai

From : Nelson bought me Zai Zai and Xing Xing.

Details : These little fella is drawf hamster. They are so tiny, fast and furious! They never like to be hold. At first, whenever we hold them, they shit on our palm, we scare the hell out of them!

Characteristic : Zai Zai is more timid and slow. Just loves to mate, mate and mate. And always got "rejected" by Xing Xing.

Name : Xing Xing!

Characteristics : Very active, big bully and a very good swimmer! She's as active as Fei Poh, just that she's alot faster. I found out that female hamsters are more active compared to male ones. They are usually ones that got bullied by the females.

Hey! How did you get up there! Wait.. How did you get out from the cage?!!

Zai Zai and Xing Xing babies. Few weeks old.. the seven drawfs. I couldn't name all of them, because I couldn't recognise them! Few of them had Zai Zai's fur.. darker with a black long line at the back. Some of them has grey fur like their mama.

Sand bathing! Clean and cozy.. they lurve it~

Baby baby~ you're so tiny and cute!!! She just stand still on my palm for that few minutes. Haha~

How it ends : I had to give all of them away due to uncontrolled birth. Xing Xing got pregnant many times and I have around 20 hamsters in total! Such a BIG family.. but I love it. Just had to give it away because of mom's complaints.

I truly enjoyed having hamsters as my pet. Wanted to have a plant, fishes, turtle or dog to take care soon. The satisfaction to see something you care about grow day by day, it's a very nice and calming feeling. They take away all my stress...

Truly Loving Company Pitching

I am tired, but happy. Pitching for TLC (a non profit org that gives 100% divident of product sales to charity home) is finally over. I did my best for the pitch, hope my best is good enough for the rest of the teammates. Our BIG IDEA might not be that appealing (as what Ms. Serene comment), but we do have creativity in some sense.

I'm just glad that Ms. Serene grouped us the way she did. All of us have our own expertise -

1) Khee Yan as Copywriter who came out with very brilliant copy. One of his work is for T-shirt - front side stating "It takes good hands to fly a kite" and back side stating "It takes a good heart to wear this t-shirt".

2) Rachel & Melissa - The Creative Directors who came out with great ideas - simple thoughts can be BIG idea too! Dun play play~

3) Angela - skilled Graphic Designer who came out with very nice designs for all our ads.

4) Mei Kun, Yoyo & Hsze Wei - Researcher for SWOT, finance supervisor, budget controller & also admin. Without them, our proposal wouldn't be so organized.

5) The guys Louis & Chee Hon - They are the ones in backstage - making sure everything is OK. We had hard time involving them because they couldn't online. But they they never missed any discussion at all! Full attendance! Haha~

7) Me - Filter (position given by Rachel)- Due to my age gap with my teammates, I think more like Ms. Serene and kept standing at client side - thinking if this or that idea is workable. In other words, I'm the "loop-hole finder". I felt many times like i "splash cold water" (phut lang sui in cantonese) to my teams as I kept questioning their idea. Kekekee...

After pitching, the comments we got was:

+ve : All your groups chose the right person in the team to pitch.
+ve : Group took initiative to print out creative execution - Good!
+ve : Like Powerpoint because got pictures
+ve : Joyce look pretty today (coz I make up), Joyce voice was the loudest among other girls who pitched (I chor lor ma)

-ve : Don't have a strong BIG idea, more to events and activities
-ve : Don't pitch well - didn't practice guidelines for pitching
-ve : Too many pictures cramped in 1 slides - very kia su
-ve : "Joyce, jaga your gesture, don't slap your thigh like that" (wooppss.. that time I accidentally slapped my thigh one laa.. haha) - It was so funny when Ms. Serene said that. And she slapped her butt while saying "Luckily you didn't slap your butt like this". Wahahahaa~

It doesn't matter anymore if we win or lose in this pitching. Coz I really had a great time with this team. Although we are from the same class, we hardly speak to each other - some even never spoke to me before. But after this assg and pitching, we became very supportive and motivated to make this assg a success - which we did!

Amway Convention 2008

Few weeks ago my sister persuaded me to attend this year's Amway Convention. As usual, a No No for me. Except last year, or last 2 years (I forgotten), I attended Amway Convention because they invited Lee Hom as their special guest. Wooo.. I wouldn's miss that!!! I remembered the show was great! He sang for like 30 minutes only, but I really enjoyed it. That's the only highlight for me for the entire night. No offence Amway people, but since I'm not really interested, I'm pretty bored with the speeches and stuff. Although I'm a member myself, I just uses Amway product, not really interested in the business part. I really can't wait for all those motivation speech to end. Sorrieee~


Now back to my sister's persuasion for this year's Convention. She said "JJ is the special guest! Although I don't know who is he.. but he's the special guest!". Mana boleh right? How can people do not know who JJ is?!! I saw JJ's performance twice already. Once during his concert (even shake hand with him), and another time is when he appear as special guest for Lee Hom's concert. So this time.. Rm35 for a t-shirt and to see JJ sing, I nodded immediately! Went there with Vince.. waited for like 3hours.. yawning and getting bored during speeches and stuff.. and just waiting for JJ. While others shouted "Amway!! Amway!!".. I shouted "JJ!! JJ!!". He finally came out 30 minutes before the event ends. And to my disappointment, I didn't get enough of JJ because he only sang 3-songs and just BYE within 15 minutes! He sang "Dou Jiang You Tiao", "Yi Qian Nian Yi Hou" and "Horray!". Really not worthy to wait for few hrs just to see him for 15 minutes. Sigh~


No photos of JJ to update for this event. I sat very far away from the stage. DAMN FAR... Event held at Putra Stadium @Bukit Jalil, 22nd June 2008, I think more than 10k people attended the event.

-THE NIGHT-

Had a great, crazy and tiring night last week. And it's definitely a memorable one!


I went out with classmates for dinner at Talipon (steamboat & BBQ buffet), then for pool and fusball game, then back to my house for some beer and to play 'Dare or Dare' game. Dare and Dare game give you no options but to just perform the 'Dare' when you get the chosen poker card - Joker and number 4. Each action needs 2 person to perform. Fair right? Wait till you get the chosen card again and again.. and to perform those funny/ geli actions again and again.. with those of same gender, of worst, different gender while your own girlfriend/ boyfriend is watching!


We proposed many dares, and mostly are those that 'foster friendship and bonding'.. like kissing (suggestions vary from forehead to leg), give 'curry chicken' (ka li kai) to another friend, and tongue to tongue action. Kekeke~ And all these applied even though both the person are the same gender.


Based on that night's performance, I vote Robin as 'Player of the Night'. He was so 'suey' that he got all sort of challenges thrown at him and its mostly to 'bond' with the guys.. Look at these~









Robin's luck wasn't that bad after all. At least he got to kiss girls - he won't feel so gay after that. Sorry for not uploading the photos of him kissing girls - it's kinda sensitive to look at boy-girl kiss since they have their own girlfriend and boyfriend. Kekeke~


As for Vince.. hahaha~ He definitely has won the title for 'Gay of the Night!!!" No girls for him.. only guys.. what a luck!!! Look at uploaded photos.. It doesn't need much explanation on why he got the title.. *wink*

I missed Father's Day celebration~

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!


Was supposed to join Father's Day dinner with family today. But I haven't finish up my assignments and report.. *sob sob* They must be having a great time now.. with sharks fin soup, roast chicken, yam basket etc etc etc.. yummm yummmmm~ Pity me~


While others are having a nice meal, I'm here at CyberCafe to online for assignment sake (I blog awhile to release stress ok..) And while others is enjoying companionship of family member, I'm here sitting beside a stranger with very smelly feet! He sit like nobody business with his leg folded up on the chair. The stench? UNBELIEVABLE!!! Yucks!!! And if this is not yucky enough, he's picking his nose now! I mean right now when I'm typing this out! He pick his nose, look at his finger, and stick whatever 'gold' he got under the table! He did it again and again and he wipe his nose with his t-shirt! Holy cow! This is the worst experience in CC!!! Can't image what else is on or under the table! Ish! Geli!!!

I definitely won't be coming to CC again once I have my line fixed at home!!! Can't blog about anything grosser than this! Spoil the Father's Day mood laaaa.....

Dear diary...

I've poured my heart out. My agony, my pain, my pride - it's written in Xanga. It's a difficult week, knowing that what I strive hard for, which I have achieved, is ruined in that unexpected 3 months. It's just the worst 3 months of my life and I don't want to hear anything about it anymore. It just sucks. Plain bad luck!


Well, another sem started. It's good seeing all the classmates. Excited to see if any of them changed, and observed that many has got better skin complexion. Perhaps the air-conditioned environment during the Internship helps. Everything starts smooth for this sem except for the time-table. Has got morning classes EVERYDAY. And it started either at 8am or 10am. So happen those timings are the time when I'm still sleeping with my pajamas on, covered beneath my comfy blanket, and still deep in my sweet dreams of lollipop and cotton candy. So it's Vince who usually get my lazy ass up from the bed. Hmmm.. What do I do without him? Haha~


As much as I wanted him to be by my side everyday, I fear that there's possibility that I have to go thru the rest of the path by myself soon. He will walk away for something better, for his family, for himself. And I wouldn't want to stop him just because it's good for everyone else but bad for me.


For now, I might not have the courage to tell him to go with my blessing, but I know there's never an intention for me to stop him from going. I'm just too sadden that this path is a lonely one, and only made for me to walk alone.


The path for me includes completing my studies at Malaysia, then to Liverpool - UK for Degree, then to Singapore to work (probably), and when I'm fit enough, to Australia for good. I do hope this plan includes both of us. There's nobody else that I want to go through all these with.

Penang May 2008

A brief summary of my trip to Penang with dad, mum & Vince.. accompanied by pictures for better description... *wink*



White curry laksa @ Kwan Nam Restaurant, Butterworth Seberang Perai (recommended by Ho Chiak!). After mixing the sambal, it will be the ordinary looking laksa. Doesn't taste extraordinary though. It's popular just because of the santan base soup before it mixes with the curry sambal.

And this is my angel.. Venessa! Spent most of my time at Penang with her. Can't get enough of her charm, smile, laughter, and of course, her curiosity on everything! She also have the same birthday as me, and the same Chinese zodiac too. She came 2 cycle after me. I want a baby that look just like her~

RM80 for 2 kilos, expensive but yummy yummy.



Me slurping down on coconut flesh... so fresh.. nice to go with the ketam bakar. This place is well known for ketam bakar, it was destroyed during the tsunami. Was re-built again and business is on-going as usual.






I went on "wahh wahhh wahhhhhh...." like jungle turtle when I saw the whole farm! All the dragon fruits are ripe and just waiting to be plucked~ The red colored fruits looked so outstanding hanging on the greenish plant.






This is just 0.5% of the whole farm's dragon fruits! The farm is HUGE!!! Anyone interested to get some dragon fruits, it's located at Juru, Butterworth.






I took a few bite before I take a picture of it. So sweeeetttttt~ Unlike the normal dragon fruits, it's usually tasteless and people eat it just because it's benefitial for health. This is really sweet!

Natural remedies

Recently I've heard that honey + cinnamon powder is a fast remedy for weight loss! I then google up and read a forum http://www.weight-loss-advisor.com/blog/2006/05/01/honey-and-cinnamon-for-weight-loss/ that some of them who tried, gained weight instead of losing it!


I've bought honey and cinnamon powder yesterday, tried a cup, taste OK. Don't know if I should continue. I'm not overweight or anything. In fact, I just qualified myself for the weight required for donating blood! Just that many commented that I put on weight and I looked 'nicer' (ya rite...). I wana lose that extra pounds. Exercise is not my thing at all. So I might as well try this.. despite the risk of becoming more "prosperous".


For those interested, may try this:-

1) Boil 1 cup of water with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
2) Let it cool down for 30 minutes and then add in 1 tablespoon of honey
3) Filter it and divide it into 2 cups
4) Half cup to be taken 1/2hr before breakfast in the morning (empty stomach) and another half cup to be taken 1 1/2hr before sleeping at night

Also heard that honey + lemon is good for skin. Might be good for my skin allergies too. The dust in my 4mths unoccupied room at Setapak makes my whole body itch! I got so irritated that I cry just because I can't stop scratching myself! All those Brenovate, Dermovate, Forban, whatever cream I use is useless! What works for others, obviously doesn't work on me! Am giving up hope in recovery. Was hoping that this natural remedy can at least minimize the itch. This honey lemon drink should be taken in the morning, empty stomach. Am just afraid that lemon is bad for my gastric.

All my dung dang dush~

Let me see.. what's worth blogging here?


First - Fei car broke down on Thursday. Luckily we almost reached his site, and we made the car go all the way to his site (with asap coming out all da way). Since his car couldn't go any further, me and Vince walked to MidValley from his site - takes around 15 minutes. MV looked far, but when walking, its not bad actually. Considered a good morning walk, at da same time paktoh with Vince. :P


Second - I watched Iron Man for the SECOND time. I'm still excited though, but at least I don't get terkejut on certain part already. Ngek ngek ngek.. And this time Vince told me that there's a short clip after the title list. So after the movie, we waited 5 minutes for all those big names to appear - from cast to props people, driver, ta pao people, clearner etc. Then there's a clip that start to mention about the coming of Avenger. Overall, Iron Man is a good to watch movie. Second time is okay, but third time would be too much.


Third - Went for dinner at Sushi Zen. Tried Unagi and Grilled Salmon (with teriyaki sauce). I would rate the overall set a 7.5 only. The salmon is kinda thin and a littleb it over cooked. The unagi... hmm... as much as I love unagi, but the bones.. hmmm...


Fourth - First time we get to have 'family gathering' twice in a day. Had dim sum breakfast with 1ko and 3ko, and steamboat dinner with 1ko, 2ko and sis, on the same day. Won't feel bored makan with them, coz it's always be full of laughter (mostly when all of them gang up to bully and tease me), so it's them who are laughing. And when i tembak them back, me alone laughing. Proud or pathetic? Hahaha~


Hahahaha~ you made me giggle for a while there!


Fifth - I'm at Penang now! Butterworth to be exact. With uncles and aunties all around at my grandma house, it's as merry as usual! It has been eating program since I got here. Hopefully when Vince join me here tomorrow, we'll get to have some water activities at Penang.

Gosh.. Weight is always the fear factor.. it is! Time to eat less- exercise more (if I can get myself started).

Picky eater reveals her comment

It is a so-so day today, but still feeling the thrill of thinking that 2 days more I can sleep as long as I want! Zzzz...


Aahhh... life is GREAT!

Just had lunch with Vince, Fei and Suzanne at All Star. For our 'kecik kecik miau' salary, the menu definitely gave us a shock, especially the price column. We kind of expected it, but still, doesn't mean we won't feel shock when the figure is right infront of our eyes. Had 'Lunch Special' instead. There are a few dishes that's cheaper. So ya, we ordered that. As usual, I can't resist tomyam, Vince ordered pasta with salmon, and Fei settled on chicken breast.


My seafood tomyam wasn't nice - not spicy at all - so it's not tomyam - there's only 1 small prawn with few pieces of sotong and artificial crab meat - menu mentioned prawnS and fish (but it's not there) - so it's definitely not seafood tomyam.. it was abit better than BAD. Vince pasta was OKAY. In fact, he commented that it's NOT BAD, KIND OF NICE. But me, a picky food eater, would comment that the cream sauce is nice, too bad it has covered the taste of salmon. Fei's breast *woopss* chicken breast, is half raw! It looked like the chef wasn't that patient afterall, to wait for a piece of chicken to cook! So we requested for a new one - Fei said the dish was OKAY.


So I've tried a new place, but wasn't so pleased with it.


On another matter, recently I've been complaining about being scared and anxious when it comes to thinking about my future. Graduation is in 8mths time. So, what's next? To get my Degree at UK? Or to migrate to Australia for a better environment (at least the crime rate is WAAYYYY lesser than in Malaysia). Or just to stay at Malaysia and go through many donkey years like everyone else?


Vince too have a sudden change of 'draft future plan' when he got offered to SIA as a Flight Attendant. Fei too blog about his future because he's kind of confused about what he really like/want to do for living. And during lunch just now, Suzanne said she's stress when comes to think about her insecure future. In this stage of life, we will come into a junction, and we'll think ALOT to turn RIGHT or LEFT? So in which stage that we will STOP worrying about our future? When we lie in our coffin? No.. then our souls will still worry if we're going to end up in HELL or HEAVEN????
